The Testing Technician is responsible for running routine tests, maintenance of area and test equipment, Tabulation of data and writing reports and coordinating with the FLS and other technical and sales personnel. This full-time position takes functional direction from the Testing area supervisor. Site Resource: The general purpose of the SAP R3 Resource is to provide local support for the SAP R3 operating systems. This includes serving as a site resource, leading and participating in error resolution, inventory management, data management, training and communication, and continuous improvement project work. - Serve as the site SAP R3 Resource by answering questions and problem solving/resolving issues pertaining to SAP R3 functionality and capability, including, but not limited to: Shop floor, Warehouse, Label Room, Inventory Management and Month End processing.- Interact and act as resource with all functions of the plant – Finance, Material Management, Purchasing, Planning, Scheduling, Labs, CSR’s, Production and Warehouses (Mt. These errors include routine problems and complex investigations. The SAP R3 Site Resource will make a significant degree of judgment based on history and supporting data that have a financial impact to the business. Inventory Management:- Managing inventory accuracy on the floor by monitoring floor inventories and making corrections to inventory due to errors and inaccuracies which have a financial impact to the business. This includes managing phantom inventory and handling clingage materials. - Assist with area Inventory Root Cause Investigations.- Manage Shop Floor Audit within the No Move Report.- When required, participate in annual physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy for both Mt Clemens and Toledo. Data Management:- Maintain data integrity within SAP R3- Create and maintain all SAP R3 material masters, Item setup (s)- Maintain and update SAP Bill of Materials and Recipes.- Maintain and develop a wide variety of metrics to monitor the health of SAP R3- Actively assist the operating areas in the improvement of execution of the electronic systems.- Assist the warehouses with metric conversions for shipments to the customer as needed. Under the direction of the Vice President, Associate General Counsel, provides legal and business support by (i) preparing, negotiating and managing of a wide spectrum of commercial agreements and non-disclosure agreements, and (ii) providing cross-functional team support during commercial negotiations. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for retaining Axalta Coating System’s key collision shop customers. They will maintain and ensure Axalta, our distributors, and customers are delivering on all elements of the business agreement with their predefined customer base. This is a remote-based role, ideally based in either Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton. The Fridley, MN plant is looking for top-caliber, technically capable Plant Operators who are action oriented, can make quality decisions quickly and possess excellent trouble shooting skills. The successful candidate in an Operator position will be trained in all facets of production (pre-mixing and material loading for batches, filling product into shipping containers, distribution, testing, sampling, and cleaning) to learn these essential duties of the position. The incumbent must operate production equipment safely to ensure the highest quality and correct quantity in accordance with the production schedule, standard operating procedures and supervisory instructions. Position duties and responsibilities can change regularly based on business needs. Operators will understand the mechanics of how to operate various types of equipment with confidence. Types of equipment include but are not limited to; labeler, filler machines, air pumps, high speed dispersers, air mixers, and weight scales within the department. Solve routine problems associated with job responsibilities. Ensures the highest product quality possible while adhering to all safety, environmental and work rules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs all duties in a safe working manner, following all of Axalta’s safety policies and procedures- Blend batch to designated formula- Learn how to fill-off batches and fill batches- Record all adjustments made to batches- Upon completion of batch make sure work area is cleaned up- Follow batch fill-out instructions as they relate to filter/straining requirements, container requirements, agitation of material requirements and labeling requirements- Select approved batches to be filled by ship date or supervisors’ instructions- Set up filtering equipment per batch ticket instructions and operate filling equipment- Operate PLC- Directly responsible for housekeeping and control of waste generation- Operation of powered material handling equipment (PMHE) to move, store, load, and unload hazardous finished product(s)- Unloading and loading of bulk tank wagons

- Development and optimization of coating formulations in the Refinish Topcoats Portfolio, spanning both waterborne and solventborne chemistries.- Work as part of a global team to support global/regional product launches and product optimizations. - Understanding of customer specifications and ability to perform all testing needed to gain customer approvals using appropriate design of experiments and statistical tools.- Interpret testing data to generate lab reports that will be presented both internally and externally to customers.- Provide technical support to manufacturing for defect batches, improvement of right first-time initiatives, assist in manufacturing scale ups and alignments, and localize formulas to new manufacturing sites.- Support lab work requests from the Product Group including root cause analysis of defects using experimental designs and analytical testing. - Ability to lead and/or be a significant contributor in cross-functional global teams to support product development, product approval testing, scale-up and manufacturing and customer technical service.- Understanding of accelerated and long-term weathering exposure testing, including effects of Xenon and Florida Exposure.- General understanding of analytical testing capabilities and ability to use data provided from analytical evaluations to support conclusions. - Organized documentation of experimental test results using Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.- Ability to lead meetings and effectively communicate concise project updates to a cross-functional teams with audiences varying from Technical Colleagues to Product Managers to Customers. - Actively participate in 5S initiatives to help improve the lab productivity and overall safety of the laboratory.- Ability to work well with supervisor and a variety of R&D, manufacturing, and marketing people in a team environment.
Under the general supervision and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the maintenance mechanic inspects, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, systems, buildings, facilities and physical structures. Service and repairs will be made to both mechanical and electrical systems. Process equipment that will be serviced and repaired includes, but is not limited to, the following: batch mixers, twin screw extruders, volumetric feeders, air classifying mills, and dust collectors.$28/hr DOE. - Plans and organizes work to accomplish assigned job for maximum safety and efficiency - Troubleshoots and repairs relatively specialized equipment throughout the plant. - Safely performs electrical troubleshooting on equipment, and electrical repairs if necessary - Safely inspects machinery and equipment while in operation for proper safeguarding, diagnosing faulty operation, making adjustments or repairs as necessary to keep the equipment in safe operating condition - Removes from service those machines which require major repairs, revisions or additions to machinery and reinstalls, including proper safeguarding - Operates, maintains, inspects, lubricates, and repairs equipment as necessary - Repairs systems under emergency conditions in order to maintain plant operations - Cuts, drills, taps, files, grinds, and fits all types of metal for fabrication, alterations, or repair to machines, building equipment, jigs and fixtures - Uses hand and power tools of all kinds and a variety of measuring and testing instruments in a safe manner - Completes work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, material usage, etc., and performs other clerical duties necessary to maintain proper records relative to the work performed utilizing a computerized maintenance management system - Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements as necessary- May operate mobile equipment, including fork lifts, manlift, crane, and carts - Works with other maintenance employees by performing any duties to get equipment back into operation in minimum time
