Primary Responsibilities

Due to its continued growth, Axalta is currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Sales Representative to enhance existing relationships and develop new opportunities for our General Industrial Business in our Philadelphia & surrounding markets. The Sales Representative will manage a dynamic territory with excellent growth opportunity, so the candidate should possess an understanding of the Liquid & Powder Coatings and E-coat industry. This individual will also be expected to provide excellent customer service, be a strong ambassador of the company’s values and possess the ability to drive sales growth.  The candidate must be able to effectively collaborate with all members of Axalta’s Commercial, Technology and support functions.  

  • Provide sales support to accounts in an assigned territory and partner with clients to develop new business plans & opportunities
  • Establish relationships with new clients
  • Service customer needs through trials, start-ups, troubleshooting, training and ongoing account maintenance
  • Assist customers with product selection, testing and performance specifications
  • Conduct customer training at customer locations and at local Axalta facility
  • Continuous expansion & growth of territory profitability

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years sales & territory management required
  • 5+ years Industrial Powder/Liquid/E-coat Coatings Sales experience
  • Knowledge of Powder/Liquid/E-coat application techniques and finishing equipment is a plus
  • Strong training & presentation skills
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • MS Office proficient
  • Spanish language skills would be helpful
  • Ability to travel 50% of time
  • Must be highly self-motivated and an independent performer
  • Must be comfortable interacting with customers at all levels of the organization
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong customer service aptitude and teamwork skills
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks
