Axalta operates its business in two operating segments: Performance Coatings and Transportation Coatings, serving four end markets, including:  Refinish, Industrial, Light Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle, across the following four regions: North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

Primary Responsibilities

Axalta is currently recruiting for a Marketing Communication Specialist (MCS) to join our Industrial communications team. The Marketing Communications Specialist will manage the tactical execution of marketing communications projects including graphic design, content development, marketing campaigns, social media and other key strategic initiatives as needed for the Industrial segment.

  • Oversee marketing communications including writing PR’s, E-News content, marketing material copy, website content, application guides, etc...
  • Work closely with the Regional Marketing Communications Manager and sales team to support sales activities (shows, events, campaigns, etc.) to ensure successful revenue and consumer awareness goals are reached
  • Supervise and coordinate all content of Axalta Industrial digital web platform. Ensure that web content supports system’s overarching marketing and communications goals and complies with Axalta brand guidelines
  • Responsible for building and maintaining all social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and new/emerging platforms
  • Develop, execute, measure and optimize digital advertising, e-mail marketing and social media campaigns that stimulate traffic and increase brand awareness
  • Identify and coordinate sponsorship and advertising opportunities
  • Ensure department compliance with established standard policies and procedures
  • Work with print vendors to establish quotes and production schedules
  • Assist with community outreach activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required
  • Must have at least 2-4 years of experience in marketing/advertising/social media
  • Demonstrable experience with creating, deploying and maintaining marketing strategies online, developing web content and executing a social media strategy
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
  • Expertise in managing and prioritizing multiple projects, attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a sustained and regular presence on social media, understand new technologies and trends in the industry and be able to effectively & efficiently execute social media strategies 
  • MS Office proficient
  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a must and WordPress experience a plus
  • Google Analytics, SEO and AdWords preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), problem solving capabilities and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Must be highly self-motivated and an independent performer
  • Must be comfortable interacting with customers at all levels of the organization
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks
